Kale is a powerhouse of nutrients. If you haven’t heard tried it yet, get ready for a treat. Calorie for calorie, kale is the best leafy green you can use in your smoothies. Thumbs up on the nutritional value of kale.

Sadly, kale gets a thumbs down on taste. Kale has a bitter taste that can dominate a smoothie if not balanced with naturally sweet fruit, like kiwi or pineapple.

This green smoothie combines kale with kiwi for a sweet and healthy treat. I’ve added a bit of broccoli for extra greens as well as a more pleasing texture.

Yummy Kale Green Smoothie with Kiwi

Ingredients

  • 12 oz almond milk or coconut milk
  • 2 cups fresh kale
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 cup fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 cups frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  1. Blend ingredients in high speed blender until smooth.
